Follow Me Friday by Parajunkee & Alison Can Read

Here are the RULES

To join the fun and make new book blogger friends, just follow these simple rules:

  1. (Required) Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts {Parajunkee & Alison Can Read}
  2. (Required) Follow our Featured Bloggers
  3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing. You can also grab the code if you would like to insert it into your posts.
  4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say "hi" in your comments and that they are now following you.
  5. If you are using WordPress or another CMS that doesn't have GFC (Google Friends Connect) state in your posts how you would like to be followed
  6. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can, as many as you want, or just follow a few. The whole point is to make new friends and find new blogs. Also, don't just follow, comment and say hi. Another blogger might not know you are a new follower if you don't say "HI"
  7. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
  8. If you're new to the Follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

Next Week's Question:

Do you have a favorite place to read? - Suggested by Liberamans.

Question of the Week:

Do you decide in advance what you read for the coming week or month? Why / why not? - Suggested by Unconventional Book Views

My Answer:

I have a pretty loose schedule for what books need to be read before a certain date, with other books thrown in there for fun. I keep a list in my phone and check them off when I am done reading them. I assign due dates and alarms to help me remember. It's the easiest way I can keep organized.

You just have to find what works for you to keep organized. Sticky notes, written check list of books, etc. I'm a new follower too!

Hope you have an awesome weekend.
      Always,
      Elizabeth

Haha I totally understand you when it come to scheduling books I want to read. Huge TBR-lists are the worst! But also books provided by publishers can sometimes be really difficult in my opinion. Certainly if the book has to be read in a week or two.

I'm a new follower, love your blog!

I couldn't find anywhere to comment back on your blog, but I could've just been blind. It wouldn't be the first time. I too randomly select a book off of my shelves or my e-reader even if it's a book I've already read. I'll just get in the mood and go for it.

I'm a new GFC and GoodReads follower. I'll see you around.

      Always,
      Elizabeth

I actually created a book list on Excel, but man, I've struggled to keep with it! Lol! I need so much discipline; I love your idea though :)

Have you tried printing out the excel sheet and posting it somewhere you always see as a reminder. You can highlight or cross off the books as you go and keep track of them all. Just an idea.

Thanks for stopping by, I followed your blog too!

      Always,

I can never stick to TBR so I've stopped making them! I always find it hard because I usually don't enjoy the books if I stick to a TBR. I'm a Bloglovin follower!

I know what you mean by the joy of reading being sucked out of the book when you feel you HAVE to read it because it's next on the list. That's why I stick to my TBR but throw in books I books I want to read with the books I need to read. My list is a big combo of the two.

Thanks for stopping by. I'm headed to your blog to follow too! See ya around.

      Always, Elizabeth

Argh, you're so organized! I'm jealous! Sometimes I can't even remember that I still have other books in my TBR pile.

Thanks for following. Followed you back via bloglovin and GFC! x

I have different collections on my kindle. One of them is ARCs to read, another one is Blogtour to read. That way, the books I should try to read before too long are easy to find :) But I really enjoy just picking and choosing as I go.
Followed you back via Tumblr, Bloglovin and Google+.
    Have a fantastic week, Elizabeth!

I do that too. I have collections for ARC's, pleasure reading, and Blogtours. I set up a schedule for the ARC's and Blog tours, then add in books for pleasure reading when they're are gaps between books. Sometimes I fall out of my schedule if I start a new series, because I immediately have to read the whole series one after another. Thanks for the follow.
